Welcome to my seascape gallery, where each image is a celebration of the ocean's rhythm and my deep-rooted passion for its majestic beauty. As a seascape photographer, I am perpetually in pursuit of the moments that get me Talking Excitingly, from the gentle lull of the tides to the dramatic dance of waves and the mesmerizing glow of sunlight on water. Each photograph here represents a fleeting moment that has stirred my soul, compelling me to capture and share its transient beauty. Join me in exploring these images of the sea, where every frame is a story of movement and every scene a memory etched in time by the perpetual motion of the ocean.
Cockspur Island Lighthouse is the smallest lighthouse in Georgia, but on this evening, with the form of the clouds and the fiery oranges of the setting sun, it appears to stand taller as its light appears to be light on fire by the sun’s glow.
The iconic Driftwood Beach is a truly magical place where one, if for only a fleeting moment, feels connected to the flow of time, water, and sand and how, over the days, weeks, and years, it shapes the objects around us.
Sailing on a schooner is an adventure that lets you see the world through a different lens, and on this morning, I was not only able to view the Maine coastline from the deck of 150-year-old ship but also through coils of ropes found on the Stephen Taber.
Sailing fills the spirit with awe and hope just like the wind fills the sails. Watching this small sailboat cut through the water and setting sunlight truly captures our adventuring spirit.
The Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse sits at the end of a mile-long, 100+-year-old, man-made breakwater. The journey to this lighthouse provides plenty of time to reflect on life, and right at the moment you think you might never reach the end, the lighthouse and its reflection in the water are right in front of you.
Being kissed by the warm sunlight as it rises above the sea horizon are the moments that rejuvenize the human soul. This image of the rising sun engulfing the Tybee Island Pier fills my spirit with hope.
I am always enthralled by how the sun’s Midas Touch can transform a scene for the briefest time into a magical moment where the sea, the fog, and the sky are transformed into hues of reflecting golden light.
This moment and this Driftwood Beach tree remind me that even as we are constantly being beaten down by the surf, the wind, and the sun, we need to stand tall because we don’t know what the next morning’s majesty is going to bring us.
My two favorite subjects are waves and waterfalls, so when I discovered Dunseverick Waterfall off the Northern Ireland coast, I was truly in my happy place. Despite the harsh midday light, this was a fantastic place to explore on a perfect Irish day.
One does not need to spend more than a few seconds at Portland Head Light to understand why it is the most visited lighthouse in Maine. One cannot help but stand in awe looking at this classic lighthouse standing tall along the iconic rocky New England coastline.
Kinbane Castle on the Northern Ireland coast feels like a fairytale location forgotten by time. This small castle sits in the shadows of massive cliffs at the base of a rugged head jutted into the cold waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. If one closes their eyes, one can hear the whispers of time in the breeze and the waves.
There is something reverent about sitting on a 150-year-old sailing vessel, watching the Stars and Strips blow in the wind as the sun slowly sets.
Every day, thousands of people see the beautiful Nassau Harbour Lighthouse as they sail in and out of the port, but the view from the inside looking out might be even more magnificent.
This tiny little beach where the water has carved a little beach into the rough stone shoreline is one of my favorite oases to escape to for sunrise. The hike over the rough shoreline will always awards me with a peaceful soliduted where the warm water and sand lap over my feet.
For me, there is something comforting about knowing that there is always a “metaphorical” seat waiting for me at the ocean's edge where I can watch the crashing waves and the rising sun.
A little abstract, surreal, and majestic eventide on the Gulf of Mexico rarely disappoints.
